Interests
I have a special interest in working with people who are stressed (including work or parental stress), traumatic stress, and anxiety (including health and death anxiety). I am particularly interested in working with people who, no matter how much they achieve in work or life, often experience frequent self-doubt that they are 'good enough'.
Experience
My professional background as a UKCP Registered psychotherapist includes working in the NHS, various mental health settings, including Anxiety UK, and private practice.
I am experienced in supporting anyone over 18 years old with a wide variety of issues around work, relationships, parenthood, or past experiences, including trauma. I provide a safe and confidential space where together we can explore what you would like from therapy.
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and assess whether you feel comfortable working with me. In some cases, I may determine that my expertise isn't the best fit for your specific needs. If that's the case, I can refer you to colleagues or other resources that may be more appropriate. Regardless of the outcome, making that first contact is a positive step towards greater well-being.
I offer individual psychotherapy, both in-person and online, I am trained in Transactional Analysis counselling and psychotherapy.

My name is Louise Herbert.
I am an experienced UKCP Registered Psychotherapist trained in Transactional Analysis (TA).
.I offer individual psychotherapy, both in-person and online, for adults aged 18 and over from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I am an LGTBQ+ ally.
I am also a qualified Certified Transactional Analyst and see TA students who wish to count their psychotherapy hours as TA.
Alongside this I offer low cost online supervision to both trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists as a trainee supervisor (see more info under the 'Supervision' tab)
