LOUISE HERBERT PSYCHOTHERAPY - HOVE & LEWES
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Louise.
I am an experienced UKCP Registered Psychotherapist.
Alongside private practice based in Hove and Lewes, I have previous experience working in various settings as a Counsellor, including for Anxiety UK, GP Surgeries, a Hospice, and a charity for carers.
Before this, I had a career working for the NHS.
I offer psychotherapy for a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, health anxiety, social anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and loss, alongside relationship issues such as family issues and loss of trust or communication breakdown.
I also have experience supporting people through perimenopause and menopause, including running a local support group.
I am a member of and adhere to UKCP codes of ethics and professional practice.
I access regular clinical supervision to safeguard my clients and better inform my practice.
Our initial session is a chance to say 'hello' and ask some basic questions to learn more about each other.
It is a chance to see if you feel comfortable with me. Occasionally, I may feel I do not have the specialism required to help with specific difficulties. Still, I will be able to signpost you to colleagues or other sources of support. It is often the case that making that initial contact enables the first of many positive steps forward.
My therapy rooms, which are welcoming with lots of natural light and soft furnishings, are accessible via public transport (bus and main train lines) and there is carparking nearby.
About Me - My Therapeutic Approach:
I am an experienced UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, I draw on various complementary methods of counselling and psychotherapy, including psychodynamic, humanistic, and psychoanalytical approaches, called Transactional Analysis, that can be tailored to your individual needs.
For Individuals
Either online or face to face
£60 per 50 mins session (including initial session)
£65 per 50 min session after 6 pm
I will work collaboratively with you to explore your difficulties, how you feel they may have developed or have continued and what you would like to get out of our sessions together.
It may be that you want to understand yourself or your relationship better and perhaps how your past is connected to who you are in the present to improve your connection with yourself, your relationship, or others.
It can be helpful to have check-ins with how you are finding our sessions and to review your goals and aims regularly.
Your number of sessions will depend on your sense of progress and when you feel it is right to end the therapy.
