Transactional Analysis (TA) is a widely recognised form of counselling and psychotherapy, drawing on various methodologies, including psychodynamic and relational, which can give you a greater understanding of your personality and why you think, feel, and behave in the way you do.
Do you sometimes repeat unhelpful behaviour patterns, thoughts or feelings, particularly when stressed or anxious?
As a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Certififed Transactional Analyst, I see the therapeutic relationship as a respectful, non-judgemental and dynamic relationship between the two of us, where we explore how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are limiting the way you want to live your life.
We agree on what you would like to explore further or change. We examine why you believe you are the person you are today by examining your beliefs about yourself and others and whether you feel this is linked to past or present experiences.
We also look at how and in what ways you relate and communicate with others, including myself.
As our therapeutic relationship builds, an alternative positive relationship may be experienced, which can provide a foundation for more positive connection, communication and relationship with yourself and others.
How could Transactional Analysis help you?
Transactional Analysis can be tailored to your individual needs to unlock your potential to live the life you want.
